Introduction
The late 1950's to 1960's was a big time for blacks. After the Civil War, Blacks had very little rights. Even though they were no longer slaves they weren't off that much better. But the 60's sparked a new era for blacks and for many other groups as well. Blacks would get their rights after many struggles. It would be worth it in theend as blacks might actually be considered "equal."
